A must-see destination is Hallstatt (approx. 20 minutes by car, bus, or train). With over 10,000 years of history, visiting Hallstatt is truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

My tip:
Take the train and enjoy the final approach by boat, offering a breathtaking view of Hallstatt’s iconic skyline.

Public transport (bus and train) is just a few minutes’ walk away, giving you flexible options to explore the region — whether by foot, bike, car, or public transit.

How we started

A historical house


Placed in the beautiful and idyllic “Kirchengasse” the traditional „Haus Mathe“ originally was one of the oldest houses in Bad Goisern built around 1750. It´s placed in the „old-town“. Traditionally houses and villages grew round churches. It´s a house with centuries of history. In former times the house was used for example as the village community-office including, as police-station (even with a little prison)…
